A concept album.

A cosmic journey into a futuristic setting where the draft has been re-instated in the United States due to an apparent extraterrestrial threat. These futuristic soldiers are sent to locate and recover the black monolith that was seen in Stanley Kubricks film 2001: A Space Oddesey, in hopes of better understanding their other worldly opponents. The emptiness of space begins to take it's tole on the crew and reality begins to get distorted as communication with Earth is lost 2 years into their 7 year campaign. Memories of their past begin to play out like a hallucinogenic dream sequence they can't distinguish between reality or symptoms of "pandorum". As the days go by like minutes, they want nothing more than to return to their earthly homeland. Upon their return, they realize this was not the same place they left 7 years ago. Cannibalism and utter chaos has taken over. Disease and violence is more prevalent than food or water. The realization sets in that the real threat was on Earth all along and that the inter-demensional beings they have been brainwashed into thinking were an enemy force were actually our protectors, prior to our nuclear antagonization. They were trying to protect us from us.

The survivors are left with a choice.

Fight for survival amongst each other, or surrender their trust and leave their planet behind with the Grey's as their leaders.
